NMRA 2026 Legislative Update 2/11/2026

Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (MST)

Description

New Mexico’s 30-day legislative “budget” session will move fast—and the decisions made at the Roundhouse will directly affect how you hire, what you pay, and how you run your restaurant. To help you stay informed and prepared, NMRA members are invited to join weekly legislative update calls with Carol Wight, NMRA CEO, and, when he's available, Jason Espinosa, NMRA Lobbyist, throughout the session.

These sessions will:

  • Break down what happened at the Capitol each week and what it means for restaurant operators.
  • Flag bills that could impact your costs, workforce, regulations, and long-term business planning.
  • Give you clear guidance on when and how your voice can make a difference with legislators.

Why Your Participation Matters:
Restaurants are at the heart of New Mexico’s communities and economy, but your perspective can only shape policy if it is heard in time. By joining these updates, you help NMRA speak with a stronger, united industry voice on the issues that matter most to you.

How to Join:
Upon Registering, you will receive an email with a link to join. Quick summaries and action alerts will follow each call.

Make plans now to join Carol Wight and Jason Espinosa each week, stay informed, and help protect and strengthen New Mexico’s restaurant community.
